WE Are currently installing the lambing
pens in preparation for the soon coming
lambs of 2009.  We look forward to hearing
from you soon !

A word on Tail Docking:
The stub dock is preferred by those seeking breeding stock.
Please note that we dock the lamb's tails to the skin flaps which leaves a stub that covers
the pubic area of the lamb.  We do not "completely" remove the tail as this can lead to serious health
consequences. See one
Veterinarian report here.

The same registered Rams are used on our Market Ewe as well.  Every year there are spectacular lambs in this group.  It is
a simple matter of paper work or lack of it, in a lot of cases.  Every year, we sell "Flock Sires", "FFA/4-H" and "Robust
freezer" lambs from the "market" lamb group. We have excellent "Purebred" Suffolk Ewes that produce these incredible
market lambs. These Ewes are not Registered so the Lambs come to the Market pen. We will set the "market" and
"Registered" price in January.

All registered lambs at Suffolk Lane meet the following standards:

- 100% registered (All Percentage Registration lambs will be sold as "Market")

- will not be bottle lambs.

- will be stock that we would add to our own flock.

- will have top quality muscle, style, and build.

(All lambs not meeting these requirements are moved to
the "Market Lamb" pen. We want to sell you sheep this
year and in the future.  When you buy "registered"
sheep from Suffolk Lane, you can be confident in the quality.)
